The NRHS Cheerleading team is collecting donations for “99 for the 1,” which is a homeless ministry that provides every day essentials to the homeless. The cheerleaders are collecting men’s and women’s winter clothing, blankets, hand/foot warmers, shoes, backpacks, etc. Donations can be placed in the designated box located in the main office by Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Please let a cheerleader or Coach Tibbitt know if you have any questions.
Any Boys’ Volleyball team member that has not turned in their uniform should turn them in to Ms. Brett’s office by Friday, December 15.
Off-season conditioning for your Class 5 Region A Championship Football team will begin Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 3:15 – 5:45 pm in the Weight Room. If you have any questions, please see Coach Coccoli or Coach Ferguson.
There will be a Beta Meeting on Thursday, December 14 in the library at 3:10. All new members should attend this meeting. On Friday there will be a teacher breakfast for Beta. The cost is $5.00. All proceeds from this breakfast will go toward a Beta Scholarship in honor of Drew Miller.
Anime Club Christmas Party on Thursday, December 14 after school in room 103. There will be no activity bus so you must have your own ride home.
Are you interested in playing Dungeons and Dragons? D & D is a table adventure game where players come together to create a collaborative story. If you are interested, see Ms. Granger in room 104 to pick up a permission slip.

The Teachers vs Students Volleyball game tickets will be on sale from now until Tuesday, December 19 while supplies last. There are a limited number of seats so get your ticket early. See Mrs. Kemp in room 114 or Mr. Bartholomew in room 121 to purchase your tickets. Tickets are $5.00 each. Money helps to support our NRHS FBLA competition fund.

The Fine Arts Department presents A Winter Holiday Concert series with the Nansemond River HS and John Yeates Middle School Orchestras on Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 pm. On Monday, December 18 at 6:00 pm, the Nansemond River Chorus, Concert Band and Jazz Band. All concerts are free and open to the public.
