Relay for Life Club meeting today at 3:15 pm in Mr. Lawson’s room. Starting Tuesday, we will be collecting donations during all lunch shifts so that you can put your loved ones names who passed away from cancer on a shirt that will be made.

Paul D. Camp Community College will be hosting a College Night on Tuesday, March 13 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Suffolk PDCCC Campus. There will be 3 raffles to win $500.00 scholarships. The scholarships are good towards any Virginia college or university. Come out and listen to the presentations on financial aid and scholarships. Free pizza will be provided at 5:00 pm for all attendees. Enter for your chance to win the money!

Students and staff: If you have extra books that someone else might want to read, please consider donating them in the library or an English teacher’s classroom. The National Honor Society is collecting books for the Suffolk Reading Council.
Attention Seniors: Celebrate your acceptance into a college or university with ACCESS College Foundation’s College Commitment Day! This is a fun and exciting field trip to ODU to celebrate with Shaggy from z104. There will be random scholarship drawings, a free t-shirt and lunch included. Limited spots are available. Please see Mrs. Foster for your permission slip. Permission slips are due Friday, March 23.
Seniors: The Access College Foundation “Last Dollar” Scholarship is now available. You must have filed a FAFSA and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The application can be found online at accesscollege.org. A paper copy is available in Guidance. See Mrs. Foster with questions.
NRHS will offer the Workkeys Workplace Document Assessment (formerly known as Reading for Information) on Wednesday, March 28. Students in need of EOC Reading SOL are encouraged to sign up. The cost of the assessment is $30 and will be administered at NRHS. You must sign up in Guidance with Mrs. Lascano by March 9 in order to reserve your spot.
Outdoor Track will have tryouts beginning Tuesday, March 13 after school at 3:15 pm. Please report to the outdoor track at the stadium. All athletes must have a current physical on file.
