Attention all FBLA members:  need community service hours? We have a road side cleanup on Saturday, October 21 at 9:00 am. Pick up a Risk Sheet in room 121 and return it with a parent signature to Mr. Bartholomew by Friday, October 20.

Come out to the Harbor View/College Drive Chick-fil-A this Wednesday, October 18 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm for the NRHS Football Spirit Night. Flyers are available in the main office. Show your flyer and NRHS football will receive a portion of the sale. (Drive thru orders do not apply.) You can take a picture of the flyer and show that for credit. Come inside and spin the Spirit Wheel for $1.00.

Would you like to be able to present your best self, to acquire the job for which you have applied, to do well on your interview? If so, the Men of Distinction Club is just for you. If you are a young man of any grade level and are interested in joining the club, our first meeting will be on Wednesday, October 18 in Mr. Baugh’s room (room 206) at 3:15 pm.

Beta Club will meet Thursday, October 19 in the Library after school.

The Anime Club will be meeting Thursday, October 19 in room 103 after school. There is no activity bus so please make sure you have a ride home. We are also having an event. Details are on the Club board.

Josten’s will be at NRHS to take cap and gown orders Thursday, October 19 during all lunch shifts.

There is an opportunity at Northern Shores Elementary to earn volunteer hours. If you are interested, see Ms. Worley for details.

Homecoming applications are now available. They can be picked up in the main office during the school day. Applications are due back by Wednesday, October 18 no later than 12:00 pm. No exceptions.

The Nansemond River Service Club is collecting new socks to benefit the Genieve Shelter of Suffolk. Help make our goal to warm the hearts and soles of our local ladies and children in need. Donations will be collected in room 101 during SockTober.

Seniors:  Your yearbook quotes are due back by October 20, 2017. Any quote deemed inappropriate will not be included in the yearbook.

The ROTC is holding a Coat Drive October 10 – 20, 2017. All students and staff are encouraged to donate. All coats will be donated to Oasis. Help ROTC donate to those in need.

Seniors:  Please send us a copy of all college acceptance letters and military enlistment documents. We want to celebrate with you and add you to our “Warrior Wall!”
