There will be a Prom Committee meeting in room 228 Tuesday, February 20 at 3:15 pm. Please have your ride scheduled for 3:45 pm.

Come join us for our first Relay for Life Club meeting on Monday, February 19 at 3:15 pm in Mr. Lawson’s room 129. We will plan fundraising events within the school to prepare for the big event held in May at Arrowhead Stadium.

Writing SOL tutoring is cancelled today.

JV and Varsity Boys’ Soccer try-outs will start on Monday, February 19 at 3:30 pm on the practice field. Sport Physicals are required to try-out and must be on file with Ms. Brett or be brought to try-outs.

Our Boys’ Basketball teams will play their final game of the season Wednesday vs Great Bridge. It will be Senior Night so please come out and give our Senior players a great send off! The Boys’ will play at Hickory tomorrow night.

The CTE Non-Traditional Extravaganza Trip for 10th and 11th graders is Thursday, February 15, 2018. There are still seats left so you can still turn in your permission slip to room 123, your English teacher or your CTE teacher ASAP. Permission slips are due Wednesday, February 14.  Snacks will be provided for those attending. Remember that those going on the trip must be dressed professionally. No sneakers or jeans will be allowed so plan to dress for success.

Can you sing, dance, read poetry, or act? We are conducting a talent search for the African American History program. Please see Mr. Woodis or Ms. Beverly for more information. Ms. Beverly will be in the library Monday from 8:10 – 8:20 am with applications.

Girls’ Soccer tryouts will be February 19, 2018 at 3:15 pm. You must have a VHSL physical on file to try out.

Beta Club will be selling teddy grams until February 14 in the cafeteria. Cost is $2.00 for a teddy bear and $3.00 for a teddy bear and gram.

Yearbooks are selling quickly. If you want your name on your yearbook, Itag order need to be placed by February 25.

The College and Career Academy at Pruden will have an Open House on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.

Attention Seniors: If you have not completed your FAFSA, the February 19th deadline is quickly approaching. Please see Mrs. Foster Monday or Tuesday or send her an email  to to set up an appointment.

AFJROTC will begin raising money for the H2O project.  All students and staff, as well as outside organizations, are asked to donate. The money will be used to build bathrooms and hand washing stations for an elementary school in Kenya. Donations will be taken until February 28.
