This week is FBLA Week, and today is Career Awareness Day. Even as early as high school, take time to intentionally further yourself or someone else in their career goals.

Congratulations to our JV Boys’ Basketball team for their 68-56 win over Lakeland last night. Our Varsity Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams will host King’s Fork Friday night. Please come out and support our Warrior teams!

There will be a Girls’ Tennis interest meeting with new tennis coach Mr. Cole on Friday, February 9 at 3:15 pm in the cafeteria. Any girl interested in playing tennis this year should attend this meeting.
The Science Club will have a Valentine’s Day party on Monday, February 12 at 3:15 pm in room 219. Please bring a snack to share (no cinnamon or nuts.) New members are welcome. Make sure you have your own transportation home by 4:00 pm.
Girls’ Soccer tryouts will be February 19, 2018 at 3:15 pm. You must have a VHSL physical on file to try out.
Calling all 10th and 11th graders: The CTE Non-Traditional Extravaganza Trip for 10th and 11th graders is Thursday, February 15. This trip will allow students the opportunity to meet and interact with professionals in non-traditional occupations in the Suffolk and Hampton Roads business communities. Snacks will be provided. See your English or CTE teacher ASAP for an interest form and permission slip. Remember that those going on the trip must be dressed professionally. No sneakers or jeans will be allowed so plan to dress for success.

Students who bought a parking pass but did NOT return (or fill out) a yellow Vehicle registration card are to see Coach Young ASAP or risk losing your parking spot. We still have a number of students parking on campus who have not bought a parking pass. You are running this risk of being towed as ALL parking spots have been sold. There are no more parking spaces available on campus.
Beta Club will be selling teddy grams until February 14 in the cafeteria. Cost is $2.00 for a teddy bear and $3.00 for a teddy bear and gram.

Yearbooks are selling quickly. If you want your name on your yearbook, Itag order need to be placed by February 25.
The College and Career Academy at Pruden will have an Open House on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.

On Thursday, February 1, AFJROTC will begin raising money for the H2O project. All students and staff, as well as outside organizations, are asked to donate. The money will be used to build bathrooms and hand washing stations for an elementary school in Kenya. Donations will be taken until February 28.
