The last day for schedule changes is Friday, September 29. Requests must be turned in by 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 28.There will not be any teacher change requests accepted.
PSAT Pre-Administration will take place Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28. Students must know their student ID number, their home address and zip code, their parent’s highest level of education, estimate of cumulative grade point average and a valid email address.
All Ladies of Distinction and DECA applications must be turned in by Thursday, September 28 to Mrs. Credle and Mrs. Duncan in room 230.

The 27th Annual Nansemond River Warrior Band Day is Saturday, September 30 at 4:30 pm. Eight high school bands from Maryland, Richmond, Newport News, Suffolk and your own Might Marching Warriors Band! The special guest is Norfolk State University Spartan Legion Band. Tickets are $10 and will go on sale today during all lunch shifts.
We will begin pre-selling tickets on Thursday during lunch shifts for this Friday’s football game. We will continue to sell these on Friday as well. Get your tickets early and avoid the long lines. Tickets are $6.00 (cash only).

Hollins University will be conducting interviews with interested Seniors on Monday, September 25 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Sign up on the sheet located on the Guidance bulletin board outside of the Media Center.
Come out and help support the NR Football program on Wednesday, September 27 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Chick-Fil-A on College Drive. Flyers are in the main office. Present the flyer (no drive-thru orders) and NR Football will receive 10% of the total sale. Come inside and spin the Spirit Wheel for more prizes.

Students are reminded of the SPS Dress Code Regulations. Any student that does not adhere to these expectations will be referred to the office. The student will be required to change their clothes. Continued non-compliance may result in disciplinary action. Students will have to wait in the front office until arrangements for appropriate attire are made.
– Clothing must cover the stomach, back and shoulders.
– All skirts and dresses should be finger tip length.
– All pants should not have rips or tears above the finger tip length.
– Hats and hoods are not permitted.
