Thirty NRHS Warriors were selected to join the Chick-fil-A Academy this year at Nansemond River HS. Dan Curran, the Manager/Owner of the Chick-fil-A Harbor View, is sponsoring the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy with Co-Advisors Candace Credle and S. Michele Duncan.

The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy is a national high school leadership program that provides students the platform they need to transform their school and impact their community. This year more than 27,000 students in over 40 states will develop their leadership skills and make an impact through Action. Over the course of the school year, the students leadership journey will go through monthly learning labs which are designed to inspire the students. Students will be empowered to put the leadership principles they are learning into practice by executing three service projects.
The first activity the students completed at the Kick-Off Event was to send a Kit to the Soldiers which consisted of Hand Sanitizer, Screen Cleaner, Emery Board, Mints, and Tissue. They also wrote a Post Card thanking them for their service.
