Congratulations to the Theatre team for their being named runner up at the Class 5 Region A Championship. Congrats to Maddie Alspaugh and Nikki Flood for being nominated for top performances and to Mackenzie Sheppard, Emma Cox and Laura Brooks for being named All-Region actors.
The NRHS Beta Club competed in its state convention last week Hampton, VA. Many of these winners are no eligible to compete in the National competition in Savannah, GA this summer. Congratulations to the following:

Harrison Storms was noticed by a Beta talent scout and received a golden ticket to perform at Nationals in Savannah this summer.

Ever wanted to be in a musical? NRHS will be holding auditions for The Lion King Tuesday, February 27 and Wednesday, February 28 from 3:15 – 5:30 pm. You must sing a 60 second selection of a Disney song. See Dr. Neighbours for more information.

Governor’s School students will NOT be reporting to GSA on Monday, February 19. They are to report Block 5, attend lunch with their scheduled Block 5 class and return back to class after lunch. During Block 7, GSA students should report to Ms. Burch’s study hall in room 100.
AP Testing will take place in May! This is a reminder that AP request for financial assistance forms are due to Mrs. Lascano in Guidance by Friday, February 16. Turn in your form if you are requesting a fee waiver for free/reduced lunch. Access Foundation fee assistance or Suffolk Education Foundation financial assistance.
Attention E-Sports Club members: we will have a meeting on Tuesday, February 20 in room 114 from 3:15 – 4:45 pm. Come join us for our first Relay for Life Club meeting on Monday, February 19 at 3:15 pm in Mr. Lawson’s room 129. We will plan fundraising events within the school to prepare for the big event held in May at Arrowhead Stadium.
JV and Varsity Boys’ Soccer try-outs will start on Monday, February 19 at 3:30 pm on the practice field. Sport Physicals are required to try-out and must be on file with Ms. Brett or be brought to try-outs.
